There is no winning when it comes to our bodies—or so it seems in the health and wellness industry. I’ve spent the last 4 years as a trainer, instructor, and coach, and I’ve seen one insidious message morph and attack us for decades:

“YOU NEED A NEW BODY TO BE HAPPY.”

Turning our bodies into projects, objects, and punishments has become second nature for so many of us, hidden under extreme workout programs or diets or, on the opposite spectrum, retreating into toxic positivity and unhealthy habits.
